Meet Our Writers
Sharlia Lee is the owner of Presto Pink personalized concierge service, and a content contributor to the Presto Pink Blog. She is currently located in Occoquan, VA. Sharlia took on motherhood at the very young age of 20, while she was still in school completing her Bachelors of Science in Chemistry. Marriage, baby, and school, all took on a completely new meaning for her after her daughter was born. As she attempts to establish herself as a woman of many titles so young, she decided it was encouraging to relate to women who are in the same situation. With the amazing help of her husband and family, she has had time to dedicate to her family, her education, her business, and her passion: helping other moms! You can reach Sharlia with comments or questions at sharlia@prestopink.com.

She is a mother of four children, ages 20 to 10–and she loves to write about the challenges, joys, and changing seasons of motherhood. Maureen is also a big believer in the power of female friendships–and has benefited in countless ways from the advice, teaching, encouragement, entrepreneurship, fashion-sense, savvy, and intellectual curiosity of other women. Yaya West is a freelance writer and mother of 3 lovely girls located in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a make-up artist, stylist, and once owned the promotional modeling agency Models by Atara. Yaya has also done some modeling for hair, clothing lines, a calendar, fashion shows, and been featured as a spotlight girl for an online magazine. The twists and turns of motherhood have brought her to her current occupation with the State of Georgia as well as creating a non-profit organization for children who are interested in the fine arts. Maintaining a family; husband and children, is a lot of work and woman can easily forget about their daily upkeep. Yaya thinks it’s vital for a mother to maintain her femininity in the midst of her other responsibilities. She writes our fashion blog to help you do just that! Susan Ouellette is a freelance writer/researcher located in Purcellville, VA. In her former life (pre-children), she worked as a government intelligence analyst and as a professional staffer at the U.S. House of Representatives. Since 1998, she’s been a WAHM (work-at-home-mother), working part-time for several defense/intelligence consulting firms. When she’s not busy working or shuttling her boys (ages 13, 11 and 4) to school and sporting events, Susan squeezes in time to write. She’s completed two novels (espionage thrillers), and is actively seeking a literary agent. Susan enjoys sharing her sometimes jaded outlook on motherhood, marriage, and life with her friends. She finds great comfort in the realization that she is not the craziest woman/wife/mother she knows. You can reach Susan with comments, topic ideas, or questions at smobooks@gmail.com.
